So that we are all singing from the same songbook …




  • The Woodbridge is not designed to cater for youngsters or babies. Children who are comfortable being ‘young adults’ will feel right at home.
  • Each Suite and Room accommodates a maximum of 2 persons and Woodbridge does not have additional beds. A separate room will be required for children, who will need to feel comfortable sleeping in their own room. Our ‘Rooms’ pages suggest which rooms are in close proximity for this purpose. The Arches is the only twin share option.
  • While on almost every occasion we are able to supply your room of choice, and will do our utmost to honour this, The Woodbridge reserves the right to supply an equivalent room.
  • Woodbridge values its staff, and in line with OHS guidelines, staff are not permitted to carry luggage in excess of 20kilograms. Please be aware that Woodbridge is a Heritage-listed building and there are no lifts. The Rooms page of this website explains which rooms require stair access.
  • Checkin is 3.00-6.00pm, Checkout is now 10.00am to enable Deep Clean of rooms between reservations. Extensions outside of these hours, may be possible by arrangement with management, charged of $50/hr or part thereof.
  • Woodbridge offers set menu breakfast and dinner on specific days by prior arrangement. Meals are not necessarily available with our prior arrangement. Please be aware that The Pavilion is an in-house dining room and not an open-to-the-public restaurant. As such it operates for limited hours and food is served at specific times. In consideration of other, guests are asked to arrive at their allotted mealtime.
  • We can cater for some dietary restrictions like ‘no pork’, vegetarian, lactose-free and gluten-restricted diets if we are advised at least 7 days in advance. Our Set Menus cannot cater for vegan, diary-free or restricted or complex medical or lifestyle diets. Our set menus cannot cater to to the diets of people with serious medical conditions or life-threatening allergies. We do not have separate facilities or equipment to cater for allergies/reactions, and we cannot fully isolate food elements.
  • It is accepted that all information required by the guest in relation to this stay at Woodbridge has been made available, and the guest has made an informed decision to proceed with the reservation.
  • The Woodbridge has a strict non smoking policy. Smoke taint will incur a penalty cleaning charge of a minimum two night rate.
  • While the use of our equipment is complimentary, guests are responsible for their own safety and use our equipment at their own risk. Please fill in our Release & Indemnity Form before using equipment.
  • Use of the facilities at The Woodbridge may be restricted at staff discretion.



Wedding Terms, Conditions and Payment Policies are as per the contract you sign with your Planner.



The window for applying credits from stays rescheduled for period 2019-2023 because of COVID, have now closed. We extended and re-extended the closing date for the application of credits, but finally closed the books on 2019-2023 on 30 June 2023.


Now that things have stabilised, normal booking and payment terms apply.

(In the event that Tasmania again closes its borders to any areas, or if COVID travel restrictions scuttle guests’ travel plans, we will leave reservations in place, follow developments and then negotiate with guests to reschedule their trip. We can put reservations ‘ in hibernation’, and reactivate the reservation when guests have new dates.Where possible rain check stays should be taken within 6 months of the original reservation, but we have worked with some guests who have been forced to reschedule multiple times over an 18 month period!)



Woodbridge is a a small boutique property, and as such, cancelations affect us greatly. We understand that the unexpected happens, so we recommend taking out Travel Insurance as we have strict cancellation policies. We respectfully request that you do not ask for refunds outside of those agreed as refusal is unpleasant for all.

Payments will be charged on, or soon after, the due dates. Details will show on your reservation and no additional notification will be sent in this regard. Online reservations are automated – your confirmation outlines the charges taken and no additional invoices will be issued. If you require an invoice, please book with us by email, and you will be quoted at the rack rate, not the online discounted rates.

  • Policy for FLEXI Rates**

Flexi Rates offer more generous amendment, cancellation and refund policies.

Flexi rates may show terms specific to that reservation. FULL DISCLOSURE for each reservation WILL SHOW IN THE ‘More Info’ BUTTON ON RESERVATION PLATFORM.
In the event that no specific more generous terms show on the reservations platform,  the terms below will apply:-
– ability to change dates up to 14 days before checkin date (subject to availability)
– full payment will be taken to confirm the reservation
– full refund up to 30 days before scheduled arrival date (Creditcard surcharges apply)
– 50% forfeiture 29-15 days prior to scheduled checkin (credit card surcharges apply)
– Cancellation within 14 days prior to checkin date incur full 100% forfeiture.
For cancellations made more than 14 days before the scheduled checkin date, we may offer a full credit to be applied to a future stay.

  • Policy for SPECIAL Promotion Rates

These bookings cannot be cancelled. Full payment is taken at the time of reservation.
Any cancellation incurs 100% forfeiture. No refunds apply.

  • Policies for STANDARD Rates**

Standard rates may show terms specific to that offer. FULL DISCLOSURE for each reservation WILL SHOW IN THE ‘More Info’ BUTTON ON RESERVATION PLATFORM.

In the event that no specific more generous terms show on the reservations platform, the terms below will automatically apply:-
– full payment will be taken to confirm the reservation

-full refund may be applicable up to a certain date, specific to the reservation being made (se ‘More Info’ on reservation button)

– 50% is refundable for cancellations made up to 15 days prior to CheckIn date.
– Cancellation within 14 days prior to checkin date incur full 100% forfeiture.

In the event of a forced cancellation more than 15 days before checkin, we will attempt to offer a full or partial credit to be applied to a future stay.

The following conditions apply for all reservations for the periods

24 December to 31 January

Easter Thursday to Tuesday

  • Payment in full is charged immediately to confirm your reservation..
    50% is refundable for cancellations made prior to midnight 30 days prior to CheckIn date.
  • Cancellations within 30 days of the Check-in date will incur a charge equivalent to 100% of the total booking amount
  • Completion of the reservation confirms your acceptance of the Terms & Conditions Including Payment, Cancelation & Refund Policies.




Woodbridge is small and intimate, with limited sleeping accommodations. It does not have the flexibility of larger establishments, and changes to reservation dates are not usually possible.

For Modifications made more than 1 month before Checkin, Bookings may be rescheduled depending on circumstance and by special arrangement with management, and subject to availability, to be utilised within a 6 month period with payments used as credit. Rates will be recalculated at time of rebooking

No modifications can be made within 1 month of Checkin Date, no changes can be made.




Rates are in Australian dollars and include all local taxes, and charges will show on your statement as paid to Derwent Valley Hospitality (INUSWE Trust).

Credit Card surcharges apply: American Express 3.5%, Domestic VISA and Mastercard 1.95%, International VISA and Mastercard 3%. We carry the additional costs of per transaction fees.
