Premier Queen Room

The Sharland is our largest and most spacious Queen Room and is located on the entry level of the historic house.

This room is named after the third owner, William Sharland, Assistant Surveyor General, explorer and gentleman farmer. His descendants called Woodbridge home for several generations.

The Sharland is a bright, spacious room with high ceilings and tall windows overlooking the gardens and the Derwent River. The large bathroom features a shower over the bath with a grab rail, and even offers fabulous river views while you shower.

The uncluttered design and clean lines create a calming retreat.

The original fireplace is retained as a heritage feature but is no longer operational.

If friends or family are travelling together, the Sharland Premier Queen Room pairs well with Academy King Room, Academy Twin Room or Capt Roadknight Easy Access Queen Room.

Frequently asked questions

• Does this room have river views?

The Sharland looks out over the Wisteria Pergola Terrace and gardens, and has uninterrupted Derwent River views. Views from the shower are a memorable surprise.

• Is there a fireplace in this room?

The original fireplace is retained as a heritage feature, but is not operational.

• Is this room suitable for guests requiring accessible accommodation?

The Sharland is close to the main entrance and offers level access. However, Capt Roadknight Easy Access Queen Room, with its walk-in shower, may be a better choice for some guests.

• Is this the only Queen Room on the entrance level?
