The Sarah Schaw is our Queen Room in the Tower. It is a very private room with no rooms above or beside.

This room celebrates Mrs Sharland (née Sarah Schaw), the wife of the third owner and the mother of 11 children. Several generations of Sharlands called The Woodbridge home.

Sarah Schaw is an enchanting hexagonal room at the top of the Tower. It features expansive views of the gardens and the Derwent River. We believe this room was originally the nursery. The ceiling offers a ‘window’ into what is believed to have been the nanny’s living space in the roof cavity above.

Uncluttered design and clean lines create a calming retreat.

The original fireplace is retained as a heritage feature but is not operational.

For friends or family travelling together, the Sarah Schaw pairs well with the Three Bridges Premier King Spa Suite or the Capt Roadknight Easy Access Queen Room.

Please note: access is via fifteen internal steps, so this room is not suitable for guests requiring step-free access. The Woodbridge is heritage-listed and there are no lifts.
