Easy Access Queen Room

The Capt Roadknight is our Easy Access Queen Room and is located on the entry level of the historic house.

This room was named after the Constable of the fledgling township who used convicts to hand-build the Woodbridge in 1825, on land granted to him by the Crown.

The Capt Roadknight is a bright, spacious Easy Access Queen Room with high ceilings and tall windows overlooking the gardens and the Derwent River. It has level access from the main entrance and a spacious open-plan bathroom, where large windows provide expansive views across the gardens and the Derwent River. The shower is wide, level-entry and free of raised edges, making it a comfortable choice for many guests with reduced mobility. Both the shower and the toilet are fitted with grab rails.

Uncluttered design and clean lines create a calming retreat.

The original fireplace is retained as a heritage feature but is no longer operational.

If travelling with friends or family, the Capt Roadknight pairs well with Three Bridges, Sarah Schaw or Sharland.
