The Derwent Descent is a luxury experience near Hobart, Tasmania. A soft-adventure guided kayak trip transfers guests from one luxury hotel to the next.

 

This is a private and exclusive experience, open only to guests of Woodbridge.

 

This epic adventure has guests staying up-river at Truffle Lodge for the first two nights of a 4 night experience.

On Day 3, after breakfast, guests kayak down river to The Woodbridge for the second part of their stay.

On the river transit, guests are likely to see platypus and sea eagles, and will cross several low-medium grade rapids. Our guides are highly experienced and all equipment is provided.

 

While the guests are on the river, staff will transfer their luggage to The Woodbridge.

 

Guests arrive to the river pontoon at Woodbridge. refreshments will be served on the river and guests have the option to hot sauna and jacuzzi before going to your room.

 

Various drop off points will be planned for those who think they may tire … but it is all down stream with the current.

 

This package is a minimum 4 night stay, but you can extend the stay at either or both properties for a long as you wish.

 

This package includes:

• Breakfast each morning during your stay at both properties
• 2 course Dinner each night during your stay at both properties
