Signature King Spa Suite. the Three Bridges, overlooks the bridgehead remains of 3 bridges. This includes the remains of the first 1834 bridge ever across the River Derwent. It was built here by the then owner, William Sharland, Therafter he called his home ‘Woodbridge’.
This is a very private suite, at the end of an entrance corridor, with no adjacent rooms or rooms above or below.
It has a hexagonal bedroom with high ceilings and tall windows. The living area comprises 2 rooms including the louvered Sunroom overlooking the garden and river. The Sunroom opens via 5 steps onto the Almond Tree Terrace.
This bathroom is not large. ‘Available space configuration’ is often the challenge in Heritage Listed buildings. It has s shower over a corner whirlpool bath, large enough for two. The bath has a grab rail.
Clutter-free rooms with clean lines create a calming retreat.
Smooth surfaces are suitable for those with allergies.
Because of previous false fire brigade call-outs, and smoke damage, we no longer allow fires in private rooms.
The Three Bridges combines well with The Roadknight or The Sarah Schaw for groups or families.
This is a 5 step entrance. In line with OHS guidelines, staff are not permitted to carry luggage in excess of 20 kilograms.
This room has lovely river and garden views. It has a private foyer entrance onto the almond tree terrace, where you can sit and enjoy the magnificent river vistas. This suite has a very pretty private entrance from the garden.
There are 4 steps down into the room from the main hallway, and 5 steps if you want to go out into the garden.
There 2 fireplaces, one in the bedroom and one in the living area. However, because of previous mishaps, we no long allow fires in the bedrooms. Please ask staff if you would like to have the fire set in the Ballroom.
Because it has so much going for it? It is very private and has no room above, below or beside it. And it is large. It comprises 4 separate rooms – bedroom, bathroom, dining room/lounge, louvered sunroom/lounge. See all rooms
