Luxury Accessible Room – Entrance level
Luxury accessible room, the Capt. Roadknight, was named after the first Constable of the fledgling colony. He used convicts to hand build the Woodbridge in 1825, on land granted to him by the Crown.
It has easy access from the main entrance, and a large open plan bathroom … with river views while you shower!. The shower is wide and without floor rims, which makes it an ideal choice for guests with mobility constraints. Shower and toilet have grab rails.
It is a lovely bright, spacious room with high ceilings and tall windows, and looks down onto the Garden Terrace and river. It features an original wardrobe with wooden hooks.
A clutter-free room with clean lines creating a calming retreat.
Smooth surfaces are suitable for those with allergies.
Because of previous false fire brigade call-outs, and smoke damage, we no longer allow fires in private rooms.
The Roadnight combines well with The Three Bridges, The Sarah Schaw or The Sharland nearby for groups or families.
