Luxury Spa Suite with River Terrace

Luxury spa suite, the Alloway Banks, opens onto the wisteria terrace overlooking the river.

This suite commemorates the original Dutch Barn which was converted into a lovely residence, called Alloway Banks. Unfortunately this building was demolished for the new bridge roundabout in 1971.

The Alloway Banks is a Spa Suite with King bed. It is on the lower ‘terrace’ floor, and is accessed by 15 stairs to the lower corridor. This suite offers a large bedroom which opens onto the Wisteria Terrace which overlooks the river. It has a smaller sitting room and a large bathroom. The bathroom has a shower over a corner whirlpool bath, large enough for two. The bath has a grab rail.

Clutter-free rooms with clean lines create a calming retreat.

Smooth surfaces are suitable for those with allergies.

Because of previous false fire brigade call-outs, and smoke damage, we no longer allow fires in private rooms.

The Alloway Banks combines well with The Lindley, The Academy or The Arches for groups or families.

The Alloway Banks is down a flight of stairs. In line with OHS guidelines, staff are not permitted to carry luggage in excess of 20 kilograms. Please be aware that Woodbridge is a Heritage-listed building and there are no lifts.

• Does this room have river views?

This suite is on the lower level and has lovely garden and river views. Even better, a door from the bedroom opens out onto the wisteria terrace, where you can sit and take in the vistas.

Is there a fire place in this room?

There is no fireplace but because of previous mishaps, we no long allow fires in the bedrooms anyway. Please sad staff if you would like to have the fire can be lit in the Ballroom.
