The Arches is our largest room and can be configured with either a King bed or two long single beds. This page shows the Twin configuration.

 

Named for the graceful stone arches along one wall, this spacious room is located on the lower ground floor of the historic house, combining the character of thick stone walls and lower ceilings with modern comfort.

The Arches is tucked away at the end of the lower corridor, making it one of our most private rooms. It opens onto the Wisteria Pergola Terrace with sun lounges, overlooking the river.

 

The uncluttered design and clean lines create a calm, restful retreat.

 

If travelling with friends or family, The Arches pairs well with Lindley or Alloway Banks.

 

Please note: access is via 15 steps. The Woodbridge is a heritage-listed building and there are no lifts.

This room enjoys lovely river and garden views. It has a private entrance onto the Wisteria Pergola Terrace, where you can relax and enjoy uninterrupted views across the Derwent River.

 

  • Is there a fireplace in this room?

There is no fireplace in this room.

 

  • Does this room have reverse-cycle air conditioning?

There is no reverse-cycle air conditioning in this room. The 600 mm thick stone walls provide excellent natural insulation, while wall heating keeps the room comfortable during cooler weather.

 

  • Are there other twin rooms to choose from?
