The Woodbridge is an ideal venue for small corporate retreats near Hobart.

 

Woodbridge has been privy to 200 years of business and government discussions and decision making. 

It was the home of the first constable/magistrate of the fledgling colony. Then it became the home of Tasmania’s Assistant Surveyor General.

Plans for the first bridge across the Derwent River were nutted out in these rooms. Here, details for the expedition that discovered Lake St Claire were finalised.

 

Hand built by convicts in 1825 on the most commanding position on the river, The Woodbridge is steeped in history.

Reimagined in 2007 as a five star boutique hotel, The Woodbridge soon became a Tasmanian icon. The Woodbridge operated as a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World from 2007 to 2019.


Her nine rooms and suites and three beautiful communal lounges offer spaces for both private and communal living. There is even a communal kitchenette and honour bar for guest use.

 

The three communal lounges in The Woodbridge are ideal for informal, small group discussions. The stunning Pavilion overhanging the river is your gathering place for meals as required.
It also houses comfortable bare bones space on the lower floor that is often used for group meetings and presentations.

Your party can easily move between meetings, private time, group discussions, meals, team-building activities and relaxation.

Free wifi is available throughout the property.

We are happy to provide breakfast, lunch, dinner, morning and afternoon teas as per your direction.

 

At the end of day, relax with drinks under the almond trees or around the Ballroom fireplace.
