The Woodbridge – Cradle Mountain Overland Track Guided Walking Experience

The Cradle Mountain Overland Track is one of the worlds great wilderness experiences. But it is not for the feint hearted, nor is it for the fool-hardy – every so many years somebody ‘goes missing!’. And it is not convenient – wherever you start, the end is a long way away, and your car is at the other end!

For the Woodbridge – Cradle Mountain Overland Track Guided Walking Experience, we have put together all the best of the experience and removed as many of the obstacles as we could. Your guides are experts and will collect you from Woodbridge and drive you up north to Cradle Mountain or The Walls of Jerusalem to the start of the trek, and several days later, a driver will be waiting for you at the other end to whisk you back to a sauna or hot tub and all the creature comforts of Woodbridge – I think it’s called “roughing it in style!”.

All equipment and foods are provided. In the event that your partner doesn’t want to join you in this adventure, we are happy to arrange ‘His & Her’ options!

Photographic Walking Tour – ‘paths less well travelled’ with an photographic expert

Tasmania is renowned for its natural beauty and pristine wilderness. Be guided by an expert in both photography and trekking as you explore the rugged and untamed ‘paths less well travelled’ and capture the unique  scenery and flora with your own camera.

This excursion is pure delight regardless of guests’ fitness level or photographic prowess. The activity is private, one on one with the guide, and exclusive to guests of Woodbridge on the Derwent, and individually tailored to guest preferences.

In photography, light is everything. You will breakfast early before being collected from Woodbridge, and will return later in the day with a heart full of memories and a portfolio of original and artistic photographs of rare Tasmanian plants and landforms.

Freycinet, Maria Island, Tasman Island and excursions into ‘the back of beyond’

One of the problems with ‘well publicised’ experience destinations is that we all go there, everyone follows everybody else along the track and we all see exactly the same iconic scene, and seldom do we experience the best that the area has to offer.

Our expert guides will show you the real Freycinet, will help you interpret the amazing landforms and understand the history as you walk Maria Island or Tasman Island, or they can take you into true wilderness areas where you will feel as if no foot has ever trod before you, and all walks will be tailored to your abilities and preferences.
