“Tension is who you think you should be. Relaxation is who you are” - Chinese proverb
We’re so excited about our new Experiences
Our Experiences are just amazing and two new Experiences are about to come live. Our Bee Amazed Experience is part of our ‘Things that money can’t usually buy’ Series, and will have you ‘all suited up and smokin’ being a bee-keeper, while our ‘Big Boy Toys’ Series will soon have a seaplane landing on the river in front of Woodbridge ready to whisk you away sightseeing to Port Arthur, Wine Glass Bay or landing on the Gordon River or in the deep far south wilderness.

After a successful reopening, new works can be planned
Woodbridge is half way through its first season since reopening, and planning for new works and refurbishments can now commence. Several new facilities are on the drawing board, Rooms and Suites are getting a makeover, and the gardens are being developed further.
Seal & Platypus – now add Penguin!
Christmas came early for our guests when the platypus pulled ‘him’self up on the riverbank on Christmas Eve – a lovely gift for those who were fortunate enough to see him.
In September, we saw what we at first thought was a big trout splashing in the water in front of Woodbridge. We then thought that it might be a dolphin and then realised to our delight, that it was a seal! Woodbridge is at the ‘top of the tide’ with both salt and fresh water.
But we never expected to see what was walking around the foreshore in front of The Pavilion in January – a penguin! It undoubtedly followed the fish upstream but as we are more than 35km from the ocean, we decided to call the Bird Sanctuary to help it back to sea.
