We have just been notified that our Cookery School Package has been chosen by Small Luxury Hotels of the World, as 1 of only 2 selected In Australia, to feature in the SLH Gourmet Programme.

This is the second of our packages to have been selected for world-wide high-profile. The first was our Wildlife Package, 1 of only 4 selected from the 90 Small Luxury Hotels in the Asia-Pacific region, which features in the SLH Luxury Experiences Book.

The Cookery Pacakge is a unique farm and garden based cooking experience by one of Australia's best know food writers and chefs. Held at a heritage-listed property, these classes allow participants to be part of the collection process gathering fresh local produce from the farm, and then to be guided through the creation of seasonal dishes using heirloom fruit and vegetables and pristine Tasmanian ingredients. The kitchen includes a purpose-built wood-fired oven, and the rural setting provides the perfect backdrop to this unique gastronomic experience.

The Woodbridge Cookery Package includes 2 nights in a luxury room or suite at Woodbridge, breakfasts both days, and the full day cooking experience.

Woodbridge, Wildlife and Wilderness

Woodbridge - Fly Fishing Paradise
Trout were introduced to the Southern Hemisphere in the Derwent Valley, and some of the best wild trout fly fishing in the world is available close by. You can actually catch trout in the river in front of Woodbridge on the Derwent hotel - local kids regularly land 1-2 kg trout on our foreshore!!
Our local guide (who also owns the town fishing shop) loves fishing and will take you to the best spots in the nearby rivers and highland lakes, and whatever your level of proficiency, introduce you to an unforgettable fishing experience. We will happily cook your catch, or offer sympathy for the ones that got away.
Your nights will be spent in luxury, in your spa suite, in front of a log fire, after a jacuzzi and sauna.

Includes 2 nights luxury accommodation, full breakfasts, full day guided fishing experience for two persons, with all equipment and transportation, lunch and morning and afternoon teas provided, and a four course dinner one one night, featuring, we hope, trout!

CANCELLATION POLICY:
Deposit: 50% non-refundable is charged to confirm booking. Non-refundable balance due 14 days prior to arrival.
Cancellations received after booking is confirmed - full forfeiture of payments made. Bookings may not be transferred to another person or date. Bookings may however be rescheduled depending on circumstance and by special arrangement with management-to be utilised within a 18 month period with payments used as credit. Rates will be recalculated at time of rebooking
